Get Tall and Fall Gold Craft Guide — Pet Merging

Complete Gold Craft guide: how to unlock, merge rules, level progression, and maximum multiplier Pet merge strategy.

What Is Gold Craft?

Gold Craft is the Pet merge machine in Get Tall and Fall. It unlocks when you conquer World 1 Tower 5 (20 Trophies) — the final Starting Zone tower. Once unlocked, access is permanent.

Gold Craft function: merge 5 duplicate Pets of the same type and level into 1 higher-level Pet with a larger coin multiplier. Maximum merge level is currently Level 3.

Why Gold Craft matters: base Pets from Eggs have modest multipliers. Merged Pets are dramatically stronger — a Level 3 merged Pet is often 3–5x stronger than its unmerged version. Gold Craft bridges mid-game and endgame income.

Location: World 1 lobby area, accessible after Tower 5. Interact with the machine (Left Click / Interact Button) to open the merge UI.

Merge Mechanics & Rules

Gold Craft merging has specific rules:

RuleDetails
Input5 identical Pets (same name, same level)
Output1 next-level Pet (Level 0→1, 1→2, 2→3)
Max LevelLevel 3 (current cap)
Reversible?No — merges are permanent
Multiplier BoostEach level significantly increases coin multiplier

Example merge path:

  • Hatch 5 Basic Dogs (Level 0) → Merge → 1 Level 1 Dog (higher multiplier)
  • Hatch 4 more Basic Dogs + use Level 1 → 5 Level 1 Dogs → Merge → 1 Level 2 Dog
  • Repeat → Level 3 Dog (current maximum power)

Total Basic Eggs for one Level 3 Pet: 5 + 25 + 125 = 155 Basic Eggs (155 Trophies) — if every hatch is the same type. Reality is less because you accumulate duplicates from regular hatching.

Optimal Merge Strategy

Not every Pet is worth merging. Strategic approach:

Which Pets to Merge:

  • Merge Pets with the highest base multiplier in their type
  • Focus on one Pet type — gathering 5 duplicates is faster
  • Do not merge low-multiplier common Pets — save Trophies for better Egg hatches
  • Check community Pet tier list before committing to a merge path

When to Merge:

  • Level 0 → 1: Mid early (World 2). Merge best duplicates ASAP for initial boost.
  • Level 1 → 2: Mid game (World 3). When Trophy income supports Silver/Gold Egg hatching.
  • Level 2 → 3: Late game (Worlds 4–5). When Diamond/Rainbow Egg hatching is routine.

When NOT to Merge:

  • Only 3–4 duplicates — wait until you have 5
  • Do not merge low-tier Pets when higher World Eggs are about to unlock
  • Do not merge when pushing World savings — Egg hatching for merge material counts against World budget

Gold Craft Progression Timeline

Ideal Gold Craft progression parallel to World unlocks:

Week 1 (World 1 focus):

  • Reach Tower 5 → unlock Gold Craft
  • Hatch 10–15 Basic Eggs, identify best Pet type
  • First Level 0→1 merge if you have 5 duplicates
  • Continue saving Trophies for World 2 (1,700)

Week 2 (Worlds 2–3):

  • Unlock World 2, upgrade fruits
  • Hatch Silver/Gold Eggs for better base Pets
  • Merge best Pet type to Level 1→2
  • Unlock World 3 (5,000 Trophies)

Week 3+ (Worlds 4–5 endgame):

  • Hatch Diamond/Rainbow Eggs
  • Merge top Pet type to Level 2→3
  • Multiple Level 3 Pets equipped with +3 Pet Equip
  • Unlock World 5 (50,000 Trophies) with full merged Pet team

Gold Craft is a long-term investment — the first merge only modestly boosts income, but a Level 3 merged Pet team transforms endgame earnings. Start merging early, but do not sacrifice World savings for rushed merges.
